I've shared why I love engagement sessions in the past but I love talking about them because I think they're important! They give you a chance to get to know your photographer before the big day arrives and allows you to get comfortable with being in front of the camera. Not to mention, it can be a nice break from wedding planning! Once your receive your images from your session you can do all sorts of fun things with them. From save the dates to luggage tags, here are seven ways to get the most use out of your engagement photos!

Save The Dates - If you're not using a designer to create your save the dates and invitations, using your images is perfect! Sites like Minted, Mpix, and Shutterfly all have great options and templates that you can customize!

Personalized wedding favors - Candles are a great wedding favor! Yankee Candle just happens to offer personalized candles for $5 and they can print them right in the store!

Engagement guest book - I LOVE engagement guest books! These are great for having your guests sign at the wedding to wish you well in your new season of life!

Holiday Cards - I get Christmas cards every year (and terribly don't send any out - I will do this one day!!) and they are always beautiful. This year I got one from my friend Gina who's wedding was in September and she used a beautiful family photo from the wedding. You can do the same with your engagement photos.

Luggage Tags - Everyone goes on a honeymoon sooner or later after the wedding. Why not have custom luggage tags made to match that new luggage you have! Shutterfly has great options for this as well as Mpix.

Thank You Cards - Trust me, I love getting all kinds of cute stationary from Homegoods and Marshalls just like the rest of you BUT thank you cards should have a personal touch! Using an image (or a few) on your cards just adds to the personalization along with a sweet note. Plus, it'll be like giving back a small gift to your guests who gave you one :)

Social Media & Wedding Website - Social media is a given when you get new photos. What's not is a wedding website! I always create a custom website for my couples that they can share with their friends and family. The site has the links to their engagement gallery, wedding gallery, and their blog post! Just another small piece of the wedding experience :)

I hope this gave all you bride-to-be's some ideas for what you're going to do with your engagement images. You can do all of these with your wedding images too! If you've seen any neat ideas for using your images let me know in the comments below!
