Last weekend I went to the Photo Plus Expo at the Javits Center in NYC. Never have I seen so many photographers in one place before! I'm talkin thousands of people, not to mention who was there Friday and Sunday. I have to be honest though, to me, it was just OK. I mean it was an expo, and what is an expo? It's hundreds of booths of companies showing you what they do, what their new product is, and to help you with any questions you might have. Maybe its just me or because it was mandatory to go to for my class, or because I went by myself or because I really didn't have any questions for most of the booths. I love a lot of different types of photography but my focus right now
is weddings and out of the entire expo, The Knot.com was the only booth
for wedding photographers. Don't get me wrong, there were some really good companies with a lot of helpful information that I honed in on but most were not what I was really interested in. One thing I will say about it, is that it's a great place to network and meet other photographers. I didn't meet too many but the ones I did meet seemed pretty cool. I got to see a few "celebrities" too. Jared Polin was there along with Zach Arias, Justin and Mary, and a few guys from fstoppers. I mostly stuck around the Nikon area who had a cute "Nikon Sweet Spot" area that was a candy display. I'll have an even better time when I go to the fstoppers party next year! All in all I had a good time. Here are a few cute shots from the Nikon Sweet Spot. Happy Thursday!
