I have been using Squarespace for about 2 years now so this post is long overdue. I've talked about it a little bit before but I've never really explained why I use it for my blog and why I like it so much. As a matter of fact my views on Squarespace have changed a few times since I started using it but now I can really say that I love it! Now that I have some experience using it I can finally share some key reasons why it works so well for me and how it can work for you too!

It's Affordable - Although wordpress and blogger are free, the upkeep for them can get very pricey very quickly. Squarespace offers five different affordable pricing options and includes so much, even in the most basic plan.  I actually use their basic plan so I only pay $96 per year for my blog! I feel that I'm getting more bang for my buck with Squarespace because I can get a domain that is fully hosted, a variety of templates that are customizable, and I don't have to worry about buying any plug-ins to add more features.

It's User Friendly & Looks Great - Ease of use was a huge factor for me when I was looking for a blogging platform. At the time I was wanting to use the site for more than just blogging, it was going to be an all inclusive website with all of my info, portfolio, etc. That has since changed but I'll be honest, when I first signed up for the site, I looked at the back end once and closed my laptop because it looked too complicated for me. About a week later I decided that if I was going to try and run a business I would have to learn how to run my own website sooner or later. As I started working around the site I saw just how easy it was to customize it the way I wanted. Not only with colors but with summary blocks, slideshows, various fonts, social links and more. Almost everything is a quick drag and drop which just added to me loving it more! It's not only easy for me to use but it also looks great to my readers. Squarespace is known for it's beautiful and spacious layouts that draw people in. Let me tell you...it works! With every template I've used I have received compliments on how pretty the layout is and how easy it is to navigate. So the ease of use is a win win for me and my audience!

It's Compatible With Various Devices- These days it's hard to find a website that doesn't have mobile compatibility. However, many of those sites have to be custom built to make them that way. With Squarespace, all of the templates automatically resize to fit whatever device your using. Whether it's a phone, tablet, or laptop, you have the ability to see all of the information on your site just as you would on a desktop.

Customizable Templates - There is so much you can do with Squarespace templates you'll never get bored! With over 30 different templates including e-commerce shops and a new feature, cover pages, you can create an entire website in just a few hours. I use the Five template for my blog and I love it! It's probably safe it's the best template that I've used so far. It has the option of having two sidebars and is able to hold a variety of different codes to get the look that I want for my site. Speaking of codes, many people think that because it's an all inclusive website, coding isn't an option. That's not true. I'm currently using multiple codes on this site to get certain features. The sticky navigation bar, "open post" link for blog posts, size of the blog thumbnail, and pinterest button on my blog images are just a few examples of that. So whether you need a basic blog, photography portfolio or e-commerce shop, Squarespace has a template for you to create a unique space for your business!

If you are looking for a platform for your website or blog that can be customized, easy to use, affordable, and compatible on various devices I recommend Squarespace. If you're not sure about it just yet,  you can test the waters with their two week free trial! You'll be able to use it and see what your site will look like before you even start to pay for anything! I hope this post was helpful for anyone looking for a site for their business. If you have a Squarespace site or use it for your blog like I do, I'd love to see it! Post it in the comments below and I'll check it out. Plus, let me know if you enjoyed this post and would like to hear more about Squarespace features and how it works!
