Jack and Yelinee | Married

Last year my brother Jack graduated from college with his bachelor's degree from William Paterson University. My family was really excited and my parents went to the graduation and celebrated with him after the ceremony. Little did they know that not only did he graduate that day but would later be surprising his girlfriend with a proposal that night! After Yelinee sent my mom a picture of her ring we were so shocked but so excited too. We love Yelinee and Jack together and we couldn't wait for the wedding in April.

Fast forward a year and the wedding was right around the corner. I knew early on that I would be photographing the wedding but I was nervous because I hadn't photographed a wedding in probably 6 months prior to that. Needless to say, I was rusty. A couple of weeks before the wedding I started to refresh my brain with every piece of wedding content I could think of. Re-reading my KJ mini guides, re-reading all about my flashes, etc. If I hadn't done this, I'm not sure I would have survived the day! Weddings are tough. They require a lot of quick thinking for sticky situations and can really put some wear and tear on your body. I'm pretty sure I stayed in bed for at least 2 hours the next day after I actually woke up. That's how bad my feet hurt. But it was worth it.

Jack and Yelinee had a beautiful wedding and I'm so happy that I was able to capture it for them. Our families had a blast and at the end of the night I think it was safe to say that we all felt like we were celebrating love and life in the best way. Jack is the first of the three of us to get married and Yelinee is the first out of her three other siblings to get married so I think that may have added a little bit more excitement. : ) Not only that but they are a true example of how friendship blossoms into love. Enjoy some of my favorites from their special day, I hope you love them as much as I do! Congrats Jack and Yelinee!
