I Love Lucy | A Classic That Never Gets Old
You guys are probably thinking, "What does Jackie know about I Love Lucy?" HA! I think I know all there is to know about I Love Lucy! My mother and I watched it a lot when I was little, I'm pretty sure someone at church gave us VCR tapes. I should really thank whoever it was because watching Lucy is one of my favorite things to do! I remember watching it with my mom when I was little and laughing until we cried and my mom lost her breath. I'm laughing right now just thinking about it, haha! To this day we're both still Lucy fanatics. Me more than her, but she loves her too. I even I own all of the seasons except for season 7. So if any of you guys were thinking about buying me a gift, I just gave you the best idea ever. Just sayin. I haven't watched it in a while because it comes on SO early in the morning and all of my DVDs are in storage. So you can imagine my excitement when the Christmas special came on the other day in COLOR. It's always been weird watching it in color. There's just something about it being in black and white that makes it Lucy. Makes it a classic! I would also like to point out that my friends think I'm old because I can call watching it on a Friday or Saturday night with some tea is pretty good weekend. What can I say, I'm not a partier.
I really just wanted to share this funny scene with you guys today because I'm in a really good mood! :) Some great things have happened to me in the past few days and I have some projects in the works that I can't wait to share with you guys! So to brighten up your day here is what is probably the most well known clip from I Love Lucy. The chocolate scene from the Job Switching episode! If you haven't seen it, look up the rest of the episode these people are hysterical - Lucy and Ethel switch roles with Ricky and Fred and become the bread winners while Ricky and Fred become the housewives. Both groups are terrible at what they do and it's just too funny for words haha. This show is truly a classic that will never get old to me. It has made some of my worst days some of my best, given me another reason to drink tea, and a funny, clean, family show who's comedy, even after 50 years hasn't gotten old. So enjoy this clip of the hilarious Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance stuff chocolate into their shirts and mouths and have a great Thursday!
